The biannual show TMTS 2018 opens today.
The topic this year is "Manufacture Linking & Activate the
Future". At the opening ceremony, there were crowds of professionals
gathered to witness this great event.
There are a total of 720 exhibitors
participated in the show, with a record-breaking exhibition scale of more than
4,300 booths in the area of 91,000 square meters. The show displays diverse
precision machine tools, metal cutting machine tools, metal forming machine
tools, machine tool parts, components, accessories, fluid transmission, CNC
system & auxiliary equipment, cutting tools, tool holding & work
holding devices, tools, measurement instruments, and smart manufacturing
system.
At the opening ceremony, Chairman Yan of
TMBA pointed out that the machine tool industry has the largest output value
among all the machinery industries in Taiwan. With a complete value chain
system, 79% of exports, and an approximate 6% global market share, this
industry is ranked the seventh largest machine tool producer in the world.
Besides, there were also many government
officials of Taiwan visited the show and together they have expressed their
expectations towards the TMTS show as well as Taiwan’s machine tool industry.
Over the years, TMTS has provided an important trading platform between
producers and consumers of the global machine tool industry. It is estimated
that the on-site order amount of TMTS 2018 will exceed 280 million USD, and the
transaction scope will be bigger than ever.
