GDM released the new version of mutli-spindle drilling center for structural steel/beam processing industry.

STD-105 equips 3 powerful 11KW spindles, working simultaneously to drill the beam web and beam flanges. Each spindle equips with an independent BT-40 ATC (Auto Tool Changer). The operator may load all the necessary tools and finish the drilling all at once. Besides, there is an additional 300mm-traverse Auxiliary X travel for each spindle. Those features improve the working flexibility to meet various demands.

For lubrication, STD adopts MQL (Minimum Quantity Lubrication) as a standard feature. You don’t need to worry about splashing cooling liquid messing the working floor, nor about cleaning the wet H beam.

GDM also provides automation solution, AutoMate, for beam feed-in/feed-out and connection between workstations. The AutoMate solution puts your floor space and work stations into consideration for an ideal combination. A feeding robot ensures the H beam a stable and accurate feeding.

The surprising gift of STD-105 is that it comes with a superb friendly operation system, SFM, Steel Fabrication Management. The operator can easily copy and upload all the material data from TEKLA, SFM will automatically generate the machining code, and then STD-105 will execute accordingly.
